I don't know what time period to put the Muthas in. They are definitely post WWII, but broke up in the 70's. They reunite occasionally to play for special events in the Minneapolis area.

The Sorry Muthas played the folk circuit from Minneapolis to both coasts doing some of their own stuff, classic songs from the jug band tradition, blues, folk....They played guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, jug (2 dynamite jug players), harmonica, washtub, spoons, kazoo, mouth trumpet....and they all did vocals as well. They brought the music of the Memphis Jugband, Cannon's Jugstompers, Memphis Minnie, and too many others to mention here to audiences across the country. Each of the band members played with other groups as well, jugging up whatever they played.
