Professor Douglas Fraser has been involved with Jug band music since he was 12 years old. He grew up in California where he discovered Jim Kweskin and took off running. He introduced me to Jugband music in 1968 and has been performing nonstop since then.He is a consumate performer, playing both the tenor banjo and the tenor guitar and as the lead singer in The Genuine Jugband, he continues to amaze audiences everywhere. He is also the creator of most of the instruments in the band including a washboard setup that was featured as kit of the month in Modern Drummer magazine's August edition.I wholheartedly nominate Professor Douglas Fraser
