Around 1972, I was playing music with a friend, Wes (Boots) Merchant, mostly in WV & Western MD when he told me of his friend Joe Bussard, who collected old 78rpm records. We went to his house one night and stayed most of the night listening to "One more song that you gotta hear!" & "If you liked that one, you're gonna love this next one!"

We would go back frequently and listen to records and sometimes play some music with Joe. By that time, Jolly Joe's Jugband was about over but he still played alot of gigs as the "Cherry Hill Ramblers", mostly Bluegrass, which was more luctrative than Jugband music. We played a few gigs with Joe over the years, but mostly just for fun.

I still see Joe from time to time and occasionally get him to play some music, but mostly he just plays the old 78's that he loves so much!
