Joe Bussard recorded and performed as "Jolly Joe and his Jugband" in the late 60's and early 70's all around the Tri-State area of Central MD, South Central PA and Northern VA. Most of his recordings were their own versions of traditional Jugband tunes from his extensive collection of 78rpm records but he also composed many of his own tunes. Joe still lives in Braddock Heights, MD and provides recordings of the old 78's for music affectionados and radio programs. A documentary of Joe's music & record collection by Dust-to-Digital, won the Film Critics Circle of Australia award.
