Arlo "Holstein Slim" Leach not only single-handedly revitalized the Jug Band music scene in Chicago but has taken a national leadership role, encouraging collaboration between the many local bands and regional festivals to strengthen the national "jug band movement." His activities include gravestone benefits for Will Shade, Earl McDonald and the McCoy Brothers, starting an annual Battle of the Jug Bands in Chicago, and creating this Hall of Fame website. In the last five years Arlo has been a moving force in the contemporary jug band world, bringing new interest and attention to the genre.
